‘Tis wedding season which means brides are stepping out in some beautiful wedding gowns. My oh my how wedding gowns have changed over the years.
Please tell us which wedding dress worn by these historical figures is your favorite:
Audrey Hepburn – In her first wedding (1954) Audrey Hepburn wore an elegant Balmain tea length wedding dress.
Grace Kelly – The wedding dress worn by Grace Kelly in her wedding to Prince Rainer III of Monaco in 1956 is one of the most famous wedding gowns since the mid 20th century.
Jacqueline Kennedy – Although Jacqueline wasn’t royalty her beautiful bouffant wedding gown was fit for such.
Queen Victoria – While they’d been worn to weddings before, Queen Victoria is credited with starting the white dress trend.
Elizabeth Taylor – Although Elizabeth married eight times during her lifetime, at her first wedding to Conrad Hilton she wore a satin gown designed and donated by MGM studios.
We realize that there are several other “famous” historical weddings, but these were some of our favorite gowns. What’s your favorite celebrity worn wedding gown?
